GOATS: FARMS ANIMALS IN THE CITY....
Growing up with dogs and cats as pets, never did I ever imagine that I would eventually have 3 goats as pets.
I got them when I was living on the farm--the farm was sold and I had to resolve a lot of pet issues.
I was moving to within the city limits.
I had to give up my 2 horses.
I had to give up my remaining fowl--I kept 2 old hens and a duck (no roosters allowed in town).
I decided to keep my goats.
After several meetings with the City Council, my goats were approved and they have lived in my backyard for over 2 years without incident.

(City Ordinance Would Allow More Animals In City Limits.)
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. -- The eclectic Fielding residence at 12th and Oak streets is home to five humans, five dogs, two goats and more than 40 chickens, including about 25 fledglings.
The humans and the dogs are within city regulations for the Fieldings' plot of about one-third of an acre. The goats and chickens are not.
John Fielding is spurring an effort to change that -- for the goats, anyway.
