****Woman's heated seats burn through fabric!
DENVER - A viewer says she paid more money to have heated seats in that car, but now the car's heated seats are going to cost her even more.
Kelly Twin drives a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit.
She says her heated seats get her through cold winter days.
Recently, the seat's heaters did more than keep her warm - they burned through the seat's fabric.
"It's got a temperature gauge on it, but even when I use it on a low setting, it will actually burn the fabric on my seats and it will actually burn my back as well, to get it really, really, really hot," Twin said.
Twin says she contacted Volkswagen twice and the company told her it could not help because her car is out of warranty.
When 9NEWS contacted Volkswagen, a company spokesperson told us it was aware of the problem and has issued a warranty extension for heated seats in certain models.
Volkswagen is encouraging anyone who is experiencing issues with their heated seats to contact Volkswagen Customer Service at 800-822-8987.
