****Nevada Brothel Owners Reportedly Concerned Reid May Call for Outlawing Prostitution!!
After cracking down on Wall Street and the health insurance industry, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid may have a new target -- the brothel business.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that brothel owners in Nevada are worried the long-serving Democratic senator is about to call for an end to the state's legalized prostitution during a speech to lawmakers in the Carson City capital Tuesday.
Reid's office was staying mum, but brothel lobbyist George Flint told the newspaper that Reid is expected to urge the state legislature to outlaw Nevada's houses of ill repute. Brothel owners and prostitutes apparently plan to make a showing at the capital Tuesday in time for Reid's visit.
Flint told the Review-Journal he was bringing at least a dozen "professionally" dressed employees to the speech.
Brothel owner Dennis Hof pledged to have "10 hookers in the front row."
Nevada is the only state where prostitution is legal, though it is confined to the rural counties and heavily regulated. Las Vegas and other more populated areas of the state do not permit prostitution.
