DIMPLOMATIC IMMUNITY: WTF????????

DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY: Commit a crime in a foreign country and then get a 'walk' because you have IMMUNITY!

This 'diplomat' says he shot 2 Pakistanis in self defense.

He needs to stand trial in Pakistan for the 2 killings and if it is not 'self defense' he needs to pay for his crime(s).

DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY sucks, regardless of who or where you are!

****U.S. Demands Highlands Ranch Man's Release In Pakistan.
(Diplomat Being Held In Double Murder.)

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. -- He's from Highlands Ranch, and right now, he's being held on murder charges in Pakistan.

The U.S. government is again calling for his release.

U.S. diplomat Raymond Davis, 36, is being held on double murder charges. He's accused of shooting two Pakistanis who were allegedly trying to rob him.

The U.S. government claims Davis acted in self-defense. Pakistani news outlets are calling Davis a modern-day American Rambo.

Huge crowds of anti-U.S. protesters have taken to the streets in Pakistan, calling for Davis to be hanged.

The Pakistani government said Davis shot and killed two motorcyclists last week. The U.S. Embassy claims Davis acted in self-defense because the motorcyclists were trying to rob him.

"First of all, let me say that any incident that involves the loss of life, or any life, is unfortunate, given the current situation. What we know at the moment is that I can confirm that the person involved in the incident is an employee of the consulate. What we're doing right now is we're working with the authorities, with our consulate, with our security folks in Lahore to find out exactly what happened," said Alberto Rodriguez, spokesman for the U.S. Embassy.

7NEWS has confirmed Davis is from Highlands Ranch. We tried talking with his wife, but so far, she is not commenting. Neighbors tell 7NEWS she fears her own life might be in jeopardy.

7NEWS also confirmed Davis owns a security company called Hyperion Protective Consultants, which is contracted to do work for the U.S. government.

The Pakistani brother of one of the shooting victims said Davis should be hanged or he will take matters into his own hands.

"We're surprised that he has been given an open license to kill Pakistani people. And the American government -- they are declaring him as a diplomat. Even the diplomat is not allowed to make such killings," said one Pakistani man.

The U.S. claims Davis has diplomatic immunity under international law and cannot be tried in Pakistan.

7NEWS checked and Davis has no criminal record here in the U.S., not even a speeding ticket.

Davis was remanded in court Thursday without notice to the U.S. government, without his lawyer present, and without a translator, according to ABC News. The U.S. government said Davis is being denied due process.
