****Police: Officer Caught Having Sex On City Propert!
(Officer Transferred Following Incident.)
CINCINNATI -- A Cincinnati police officer has been transferred because he was caught having sexual relations in a city vehicle on city property.
A high-ranking source within the Cincinnati Police Department said Lt. Christopher Ruehmer was caught by other officers in the parking lot of District 1 headquarters on Sunday after he and his girlfriend attended the Bengals game.
The source said Ruehmer and his girlfriend were engaged in sexual activity in a police-issued unmarked vehicle. Ruehmer was not on duty when the incident occurred.
"It's our job as supervisors to obey and enforce the rules," the source told WLWT. "And here he is breaking the rules."
Ruehmer did not deny the allegation when confronted, the source said
"It's not criminal; it's just bad judgment," the source said.
Ruehmer was transferred from his job as a deputy commander with the patrol administration and a SWAT crisis negotiator to the police records department following the incident. But the source said Ruehmer was not demoted.
