The fucking minimum wage gets a 1.5% increase based on INFLATION!
But I didn't get a social security cost of living increase THIS YEAR and I won't get one next year..BECAUSE THERE WAS NO INFLATION (according to the FEDS!)!
I guess the folks earning minimum wage live in a DIFFERENT ''purchasing power world" than us old farts!

DENVER -- Colorado workers who make minimum wage are getting a raise on Jan. 1, 2011.
The minimum wage is going up 11 cents an hour to $7.36. That's an extra $228 per year for full-time employees.
Colorado voters passed a law in 2006 that ties minimum wage to inflation.

Because of that, in 2010 Colorado become one of the first state's to lower its minimum wage. Minimum wage in Colorado was supposed to go down 4 cents. However, because that dropped Colorado's minimum below the federal minimum wage, workers were paid the federal rate of $7.25 an hour in 2010.
Tipped workers will also see a slight increase in pay in 2011; their new minimum wage is $4.34 an hour.
