Whitney Port’s Personal Coachella Photos

Whitney Port's Personal Coachella 2011 Photos

Whitney recently took her blog to post all her personal photos from Coachella 2011! Whitney also did a little piece on her Coachella days:

Hi friends,
I took sooooo many pics this year at Coachella that I have to break them up into multiple posts, so here we have pics from our first day at the festival. I saw a ton of different acts, including Robyn (but we were bummed that she didn’t play “Show Me Love”), the Black Keys, Cee Lo Green, Kings of Leon, Afrojack (definitely one of my favorites of the weekend) and Skrillex, to name a few.

Mariah Carey wears heels at home

S
inger Mariah Carey is so obsessed with wearing heels that her casual slippers have height too.

“I wear high heels all the time. Even my slippers. I can’t even walk in flats,” Carey said.

Femalefirst.co.uk reports that her love for heels proved to be problematic while filming her new movie “Precious”, in which she plays Miss Weiss – a world-weary welfare officer who reveals the tragic life story of a teenager abused by both her parents.

“Mariah was born as an embryo in stiletto heels. She walks – even in her home – on her f***ing toenails,” said director Lee Daniels.

Mariah Carey happy without make-up

Singer-actress Mariah Carey thinks playing a dowdy social worker in her new movie “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire” has boosted her self-confidence because she no longer worries how she looks.

The 40-year-old shed her glamorous image for her role and says having to spend hours in front of a camera with heavy lighting and no make-up has made her feel more comfortable with staying natural at home, reports fametastic.co.uk.

“I think it was crucial to dress down. It was tough because making music videos is so different with the costumes, the angles, the lighting, stuff like that. In ‘Precious’, we sat in a fluorescent dentist’s office and it was the worst-lit scene of the movie. The over-lighting emphasises the dark stuff under your eyes,” she said.

“I guess now I’ll feel better about myself when I’m dressed normally at my house and walk past a mirror and see myself. I’ll be like, well I’ve looked worse,” she added.

Carey says she identified with the story of the movie which follows a sexually abused, overweight teenager.

“The first relationship I was in, without realising it at the time, was abusive emotionally. That is in the past, but that helped me get to a place where I could grow and use that stuff in my work,” she said.
